Boost code/warning?

I'm new to the car scene evos more specifically and I went for a test drive today in a 08 evo gsr had an intake bov and full exhaust not sure if it was tuned or not but I was driving a little reckless to make sure no one was hiding codes or anything and I didn't catch what my boost level was but a light came on said asc or acc off I can't remember now and a services required threw a code reader on it and nothing shut it down and back on it went away I know this happens in my truck if I go over 20psi boost and the truck starts defueling and the light comes on I guess just wondering if this is normal or there's a set boost max on this particular car I shouldn't go above

This happens when you start to lose traction and the traction control cuts in and cuts off all of your power. Usually happens while on a turn if you turn off traction control you will no longer get this falshing on the display. Over boost codes will get a service engine soon light.

that light also comes on if you go over 30lbs of boost unless you have that light disabled with an open source tune.

Are you talking about the SES light or the traction control light?

I believe it was traction control although this was my first time driving an evo period and I don't know about the gauges or buttons sorry to sound new haha but service required came on but went away on restart

I was saying that the ASC OFF light comes on when you hit 30lbs of boost without disabling that light in an open source tune. Cobb tunes can't disable that light according to Cobb plano.

Yea the acs off light came on that along with service required. What is a not so much boost limit but but goo ball park to keep boost around so service required doesn't come on

You should look up an evo shop around you and have it looked over if your in doubt, before you commit to a purchase. Cuz the evo is $$$$ to fix...
