intercooler for 18k turbo

On my EVO X I am looking to get an MHI 18k turbo. Goal are just over 400whp.

MODS:
ETS hard pipes
ETS V2 catback
ETS Race pipe
ETS recirc downpipe
Hallman MBC
ETS intake
COBB V3 accessport
NGR BOV

Plans are 18k turbo, MAP cast mani, ID 1000-1300 injectors and a FMIC core.

I have read a bunch on the 3.5 and 4" ETS core but not really specific for this turbo. Here is my dilemma. The 4" shows about 5-7WHP on the stock turbo because it was being pushed hard and making alot of heat. I am thinking that if I am around 25-28psi on the 18k it with be the same story. However has anyone had a problem with coolant overheating with a massive 4" core? I know the lag is minimal and at the same time I do not want to miss out on the extra WHP.

Thoughts for 18k?

You'll be fine with the 3.5". No need to put the extra weight on the front of the car.

Definitely no need for a 4" intercooler. I run the CBRD 3.5" on an EFR 7163 kit with zero issues.

Yean I understadn I don't need it but if there are no drawbacks and it shows more WHP why not do it? Unless I am missing something.

Saves you a hundred bucks and additional unnecessary weight on the front of the car. Also sorry, but an extra half inch on the intercooler isn't going to actually give you any more power unless you're trying to squeak every bit of power out of it, which I wouldn't suggest.
