No rev limiter? Pls inform

I saw some post stating evo rev limiter is 7500 on a stock engine I recently bought a 13 Evo GSR and decided to push it today and it definitely didn't stop at 7500 on top of that in neutral it didn't stop at 5500 I have a bone stock Evo gsr with a stage 1 Cobb ots tune runs beautiful but curious if I should have a rev limiter

Stock rev limit is 7600. You have to have the clutch pushed in for the 2-step/stationary rev limiter to work.

8200 is ok on the X, but for power, pushing it up there on the stock turbo is pointless. Maybe take the car and the AP to a Cobb Pro tuner and have them take a look at it. You definitely want a rev limiter.
