It's not the point that he expressed how he felt about the X.
There is nothing wrong with that.
The thread is a complete waste because there is soooo many threads hating on it, whether the comments are positive or negative.
That should go with all the guys who are posting up.

Oh my god, think about it like this....... when Mitsubishi decided to say heck with Evo 6 and start with the new body SEVEN that end up kind of looking like the Evo 8 everyone hated it, and said they ruined the Evo oh why; oh why. Now evryone love the 7 & 8 & 9. Now for the Motor yeah it stinks that they retired the 4G63, but its time for something new..... remember RB26dett done NOW VQ46dett or something like that..... B16b, B18c, etc..... DONE now K20!!!! evryone hated the K20, but now love it. I personally think the Evo X is nice looking and comes with awsome hp #'s and Tq #'s. Also remember that Mitsubishi Named it Lancer Evolution..... every generation of the car Evolves. just my .02 cents.

The reason the battery is in the back is for weight distribution, and the turbo is in the back of the motor instead of being in the front because the old configuration caused overheating problems with the radiator and oil to heat up way too fast and hindered performance and actually the turbo being in the back also puts more weight behind the front axles for better conering and weight distribution. All i'm saying is give it a chance u only saw it at a dealership doing nothing...... just wait until Bestmotoring Video comes out with their DVD here in USA becaues they will push the Evo X to its limits.

Like he said, don't write the X off until you drove it yourself.

I love my IX, but the X may be better. Who knows for sure yet. Just wait and see how good the car is before the bashing begins again.
It's kinda like when the STi switched from 05-06. I HATED the Hawkeeye look. But the more I saw them, the more I liked them. My buddy has a black one and I think it's a pretty damn good looking car.

W3rd. I personally don't care too much for the X, but I haven't driven it yet. It's not fair to be completely judgemental just cause you're totally biased.

I personally just don't like the look of the X, but I've read a lot about the engine, drivetrain, and so on and it's defiantly an amazing performer. Do I wish they had the MIVEC 4G63 still, sure but you never know what the engine is capable of until big tuners like Busher and AMS throw some serious mods, fuel, and tuning on them.
I really can't wait to see Top Gear put the X to the test lol
