STI Versus Evolution X... SOON !
#18
The new STi is going to be 90-120lbs lighter than the old one and has slightly more power. I dont think the X would stand a chance. Its a shame that Mitsu messed up the X this much.

Hmm, I heard 50 pounds lighter.
Either way these are all JDM cars which doesn't mean a lot for us. The US X is gaining 331 pounds over the the XI. Even if the STi is the same weight of the current it should kill the X in all performance categories.
Time will tell...

nope, STI is heavier than before:
http://www.caranddriver.com/previews...sti-page2.html
"Expanded dimensions, plus comprehensive body-shell stiffening and extensive (and seemingly effective) work in the area of sound deadening, yield higher curb weights—a claimed 3400 pounds for the U.S. car. The last STI we tested [“Bad Boy Sedans,” February 2005] weighed 3308, which means the new car won’t likely accelerate any quicker than the previous STI (0 to 60 in 4.9 seconds, the quarter-mile in 13.4 seconds)."
