Yeah, looks to be written long ago. Isn't some dealer trying to get $45,000 for an Evo 10 on ebay? I know I saw an article on the Sub, and the list on the thing was $40k. I'm tellin ya, $40+ thousand dollars, I'm not even gonna look at it. The BMW 335i looks very nice(and don't forget the 135 is coming), and for another few K's, a Cayman S can be had. Used can be found in the low $40's.
These cars (Mitsu & Sub) are supposed to be rally-replica cars with all the go fast goodies on 'em right out of the box, for under $35k. That's their niche. If Mitsu wants to add a more refined car, don't do it with the Evo, put the Evo goodies on the Galant, and use it to go after those who want more "refinement". The Evo is what it is. It's a very fast car that guys like me, who would have never bought a Japanese car, to use on the track, have jumped in with it head first. I have 3 other 40-something buddies I know from road racing motorcyles, that bought the Evo for the track. This is the car we wanted. If we wanted a more refined sport touring sedan, we wold have looked to the Euros.
Mitsubishi looks to have shot themselves in the fuggin foot with the 10. I hope not, because the Evo seems to have been the only car that kept that poor company afloat. The production car's not out yet. I hope for Mitsu's sake (not the dealers per se. They've already demonstrated to be amoung the worst. The jokers in Socal could go **** up for all I care), they get the car a little closer to the edge of the envelope by the time it arrives on the showroom floor. Of course the clown at the dealerships are then gonna try to park grand-slams on each one of 'em, but that'll all sort itself out, when they don't sell.

^it will be better if you speak this next year after comparing IX sales vs X sale. Mitsubishi top line model is evo and beside selling the car to track junkies only <<who does nothing good but give mitsu a bad name for thier warranty void and crap. They will reach wider audience with X in my opinion and help them with their sinking sale. But they could have kept IX as an enthusiast model and make X the pedal shifter thing IMO
