will make modding much less effective and risky. i have heard from a few people that they wouldnt trust making many changes at all to the engine. personally i would prefer an evo ix or viii but my parents are paying and they dont trust buying used cars.

Learn to drive the stock vehicle to its limits on the track. I guarantee the stock Evo, VIII IX or X is way above the abilities of most of the people on this forum. Why worry about modding it before you even buy it?

Sounds like your head is not in the right frame of mind...

Especially when your parents are footing the bill...

This.

And plus, nobody here can tell you anything about the new engine's reliability with mods. The only way to find out will be when people start modding them, and then you wait. Ask again in a year or so, when people have some miles on modded 4B11T's.

well, look at the bright side, the X is no longer going to be a limited production car, so there will be tons of them out there, and even more for young inexperienced drivers (read: dumbasses behind the wheel of a powerful car thinking they're the ****) which means more parts cars bo get cheap parts from

Semi Open I believe, another weakness, smaller turbo too. YUCK I choose the STI this time.

Aluminum blocks? Well as an example, I heard that those aluminum LS1-7's are just a nightmare to modify... minimal gains if any.

No it makes them a realist.

Kids don't need powerful cars, unless they have been racing for a long time and it is being purchased as a track only car. Youthful exuberance and the desire to impress others has been the end of many fine automobiles.

As far as the deck do you even know what your talking about? A semi open deck is just about the most common coolant port configuration used.

Well your comparing a NA motor to one that sees boost, but still; if designed properly an aluminum block can hold a decent amoint of power. Just as AMS said though, it will not be able to cope with the 1000 hp loads that the 4G63 was capable of doing.
