Tis ture, my evo IX has the whole shebang SSL package, whilst the new one doesn't. I mean I guess you can say the X is a step ahead with its cruise control and navigation screen, but then it doesn't have a sunroof nor nice leather seats (a step back), so it's like it hasn't really "evolved" in my eyes as far as the features go. Hell it might've taken a step back being heavier and lacking a 6 speed manual option.
But then again, seeing as how the first model year 03 evo we received didn't have leather seats as an option, it might come into play the following year like it did with the 8.

#1 HP? I rarely get to open up the evo on the daily drive. Being heavier with the same hp is fine for 99% of drivers. Unless you take it to the track you won't notice it (that's why you build a race car to tow to the track).
#2 no leather? Inside the X looks and feels a lot nicer than my VIII. I think the selling point is the crapload of technology they threw at the car.

Is this for Canada only?
The MR Premium has a power sunroof and leather as standard by the way. Unfortunately not on the GSR is seems.
