The same as the IX. Had it had been rated above 300 hp, it would probably be a wee bit higher. I'm sure it'll start to go up quickly as soon as the under 21 age group starts crashing them left and right. I'll give it a month.

It won't be calculated correctly at first, as the VIN will not come up in the insurance systems. In a year is when you could be in for a shock. I would suggest getting a one year policy if possible, instead of a 6 month policy.

Wow, im 21 years old and on my OWN policy, full coverage $500 ded for $140 a month. I have 1 speeding ticket & 1 accident on my record. You need to shop around instead of getting ripped off!

I have friends in NYS that pay $400/month for evo 8 insurance... (with tickets)

How could people afford that?

I would not be wildly surpised if insurance on a new X ends up being less than it was on a new IX in 6 months to a year. Since they base rates on statistics, I think the added cost, lessor ability to modify right now, and slightly more mature appeal may take out some of the younger less responsible buyers. This would help to lower the accident rate for the car, and therfore the insurance cost
