I think overall it will be slightly cheaper, if not by a good amount. People steal evo stuff for their lancers?? If I didnt have a safe garage I would never buy a decent car, and tacky jealous actions like that ruin everyones fun. (insurance rates, replacement cost, anger, general vandalism..)

People around here get so jealous. When I had my '03 OZ Rally, it got spit on & knifed w/in the first month . I can't imagine what would have happened if I had an Evo. I would be afraid to sleep every night that my Evo were outside (if I didn't have my garage). Someone on another thread just got a X & said that the first night they left it out, someone hit it w/a bb gun pellet.

Mine did understand. They also asked me for the price.

105 in a 65
75 in a 65
80 in a 65
40 in a 25

Only one was in my Evo, the rest were my old Monte Carlo. Weird right? You figure I'd be faster now? Haha.

My insurance went down dramatically! I used to pay $242 monthly for full comprehensive on my 06 STi (guessing it should be about the same as the evo 8/9), and liability on my 89 crx si & 96 240sx. I currently have 3 pts on my license, and about 5 accidents in the past few yrs. I am 30 yrs old, and have my car registered in the East Bay, CA.

After the trade in, rates dropped to about $180 monthly. My insurance company sent me a cheque to compensate for the drop in rates.

Interestingly they didnt recognize the VIN at first either, but thankfully on the insurance papers they sent me, it did say "Lancer Evol".
