After getting jet black on my 335 I'll never get just straight black again. You see every freaking swirl, spot, scratch, spec of dust...The paint on it is worse than the paint on my Evo was.

if you guys are buying a PB id recommend telling them to just pull off the tape and that you will wash it yourself. After looking carefully at the paint I can see some scratches from the towel the dealership used Maybe it was dirty?

My GTO is Phantom Black Metallic (black with gold flakes probably pretty close to the Mistu color). Anyway I have black powdercoated stockers on mine and it pulls off the look just fine. I say powdercoat them.

I hope it's not really soft and just prone to swirls and scratches. They haven't started using water based paint have they? That's what on my current car and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it's so soft if you put just a little pressure on a microfiber towel when drying it swirls badly.

335 or Evo X? I was test driving a 335 yesterday and it had some pollen all over it... I brushed some away with the back of my finger and it kind of left several small scratches the 335's black paint. It is indeed soft.

Congratz man PB is looking good as always. I thought they were coming out with this color until April. I stand corrected.

335. The paint blows. Nothing like having a $50K that's supposed to look good not just go fast like my VIII covered in f^&*ing swirls and look like *** because I breathed on it wrong.

All, I just went to my local Mitsu dealer in ColoradoSprings. They just got two identical black X's. Down there. BEAUTIFUL black. However, I watched them just finishing up the PDR on them and noticed horrible swirly scratches all over the car. They had to scrub off some of the adhesive from the white tape stuff and scratched the **** out of certain areas, all over. Kinda scary.
