Evo's w/HID's have the manual leveling switch on the inside. Evo's w/regular halogens don't come w/the leveling switch. Some cars w/HID's like the newer higher-end luxury cars have auto levelers (no switch on the inside). Also, ALL the evo VIII's and IX's have projectors. HID or not. Oh... and some of the older cars w/ factory HID's did not have projector's... 99-03 Acura TL to name one.

My 07 Outlander is by no means a "luxury vehicle" but it does come with auto leveling HID'S. Its odd the Evo doesnt have it, how does the "manual" system work, do you have to press that switch everytime you feel it needs to level out and then it does it or is it like the side view mirrors were you adjust it your self?

Autoleveling is tooooo much extra weight. Mitsus intent was to keep the X as light as possible....

I wasn't aware the outlander came with it.. I guess they're putting it on more vehicle's now. The switch on the evo.. is manually adjustable to the height you desire. There are 5 different settings 0 - 4. I leave mine on 2. not too high so it doesn't blind people & not too low so i get good visibility.
