The civic does have voice rec, but not on the climate control system.... just audio and nav functions... (no bluetooth)

and I have the man's voice on my nav (CRV) ... I dont like a women telling me where to go!!

Well I cant say that I owned a Civic.. But here is a pic of my 2000 Prelude. The car was built to run on the Road course. I can say that it handles excellent and the power is there so riding in my brother 3000 GT VR4 (Fully built) riding in friends Evo 8 and 9's the prelude is right there so with that being said. I am looking forward in getting Mitsu product whether its an EVO MR or 09 Raliart. I am interested in the TWIN clutch. I know it will be cheaping than fixing up a HONDA. After wasting 75k on this prelude over the years it's not worth it. Oh by the way HONDA reliability is out the window. THis car is just as reliable as a DODGE car

Engine

Jackson Racing supercharger with 9lb pully kit

Fully built H22 A motor - JE Pistons - Crower stage 2 Turbo cams - Fully build head with over sized valves and mild port and polish.

Greddy eManage for my engine management.

245 hp@ the wheels.

Suspension - JIC FLA 2

Mugen MF 10s

True Mugen Body kit

Big brake kit

Interior RECARO SRD's with matching rear seats.

Oh yeah the paint job is House of Kolors RED to GOLD

I had a supercharger for my gsr way back in the day, like 1999. Those were the years. But your right, once you start modding hoda's with force induction reliable goes out the window

i have a civic si, i drive for work, sales. its fun but i wouldn't put 7,000 + into it to get it to perform. comptech has a superchager 3995.00 for 40-50 hp thats without installation. greddy turbo kits 3300.00. then you need all the accessories. the suspension is like a 78 caddy, so thats a whole other expense. for me its not worth dumping money into....i would tell someone to buck up for the X

I had an 06 SI for about 8 months prior to the Evo, hated the rev hang issue, but i did love the car. I hade everything on mine full HFP and in Habenero Red....looked mean as hell, but I love the Evo.

Sorry to bring back up a few day old thread, but to those with Xs coming from the K20... is there a trick to driving the X, or turbo cars for that matter? I'm just to the point where it's broken in, and I have to say, it doesn't feel much if any faster than the Si. I'm sure I'm just not doing it right.

Probably has a lot to do with the complaints of a poor top end. I went from about 25-70mph, so maybe I missed all the good stuff. I'm used to the Si's frantic race to the rev limiter, where the X just kind of lumbers around up there.

I guess I'll have to play around to find the power that has to be there.

Well FI on H series motors isn't the wisest choice, but on B and K series engines they do great.

the evo should be similiar to the si ,you need to keep the revs up to keep the turbo spooled jsut like u need to keep the civic above 6000 rpms

wow.... I can't believe you think the cars feel the same... There is so much more power on the evo.... I love Honda, but there is no torque... Something you definetly have on the evo... And once you have confidence in the turns, then you will see how much better the handling is too...

I do love big revs and top end , which is Honda's philosophy, but it just doesn't have the kick in the pants of other cars

It's only been officially broken in for, what, 3 hours and I got one full throttle run from 25 to 70, and that one run felt very similar to the Si. I was curious where others are shifting, and if they're running it up to the redline or not.

I even said I figured I was not shifting in the right spots for a turbo car. Give me a break, eh? Good to see that someone with an RSX-S feels it's quite a bit faster, so that's good. I'm taking it back out tonight for more "testing".

I'm already quite familiar with its handling abilities, as I've already mentioned a few times in this thread.

The rsx-s was similar...(same engine more or less as the new si) My evo 8 had some lag so you could feel it spool up... But the X is more linear... Dont worry , cats get faster with more miles on them .... What else did you mod on the si?

I had it out for a little drive tonight and was far more impressed. I still think over 6k or so it's pretty anemic and runs very similar to the Si, but below that there's a ton more power than the Si. So what I ran into was where the Si was just getting started, the X has already been making full power and is beginning to taper off. I had it revved up high like you need to to get the Si going, which it appears is not the fastest way to drive the X. I'll be interested to see the final results of all the ECU modifications and tuning, which seem to address this issue somewhat.

In any case, I'll certainly have some fun with it. I took a nicely maintained and banked off-ramp at 65 that I know the Si could only handle at 50-55 tops. And the X was begging to go faster. This is one hell of a car.

My Si is stock, btw.

Just traded in my '06 Si for and '08 X. I was getting sick and tired of the Si, and I change cars roughly every two years. Hope fully I can break that habit with this car!!!

06 si was slow compare it to other better hondas
drive by wire on a honda was retarded.
i went from an all built all motor integra and my evo has yet to impress me on the takeoff only difference i see as far as speed goes is that the evo definitely has more to offer all around and on top end. and of course the great handling.
great thing about the evos though is the mods are worth your money any day over the what u get by doing the same thing to a honda.

and yes h motor is not so great with its carbonkevlar cylinder walls didnt do much for reliability
