Buschur Racing's EVO X on the road course.
I am going to try and buy some pictures of the car on the track but I just want to tell you guys about the car and my weekend so far.
The car is a bad SOB. I am down at Mid Ohio running NASA. I am in HPDE3. There are about 25 cars in our group. It is a crazy field with some very serious cars. From full race Mustands, Cayman S Porsche, 996 Porsche, full race BMW M3's, Z06 Vettes, etc. You get the idea. Very good field of fast cars.
Our EVOX right now has our catback, offroad pipe, boost controller, maf pipe, upper/lower i/c pipe, race FMIC and Robi Spec KW's and Robi Spec alignment.
I am SUPER happy with the KW's, the ride is really exceptional for a coil over. It is not at all harsh. The handling is superb.
In the rain, NOTHING can come close to the EVO X in our group. The car is amazing in the rain. If there was a real driver in the car there's no telling how fast it would go. I ran a 2:03 in the rain today. We had 3 dry sessions in the morning and I ran a 1:43.8. This is faster than I ever thought I'd go.
I looked at the TT board to see what the other cars were running. A 1:43 is pretty darn good and faster than the entire Spec Miata class. I called Robert Fuller and found out that the EVO X actually fits into TTB with the coil overs on it and catback. This is excellent news as the fastest TTB car today was a 1:44.6.
When I got to the track on Friday, because of the rain, I turned the manual boost controller all the way down to about wastegate pressure. Stock the cars run a peak of 23 psi. My guess is now I have the boost down around 16-17 psi. The car would be faster with the stock boost controller back in place.
I have to decide what I want to do. I am running on stock tires. I think keeping the car in TTB would make for a winner a Nationals.
What a great time, great car.

More and more negative thinking disappears as more and more proof comes out that the X is great. If you keep it TTB, good luck with chasing nationals, that'd be freakin' sweet on the cars first year of production.

Holy crap! just like I thought, this car will dominate on the track. This car blows me away in the rain as well, and we don't have a lack of rain here in IL at the moment for sure. Keep up the good work.
