go off road in your evo!

there is this old dirt road by my house ( i think its a atv course or something like that) that i used to go to with uncles ix and it is AMAZING! i havent felt a rush like this for a while! THIS is where the evos fun factor really comes into play... and what was really amazing is even though i was sliding all over the place, i felt like i could bring it out of the side at will. it was actualy harder to get my car to slide then to control it.

to be honest, on the pavement the evo is very quick...but i always feet like i needed more power to have a more fun... but going an avarage of 35 mph on this road... more power was the last thing on my mind. find a dirt road, get your car dirty and go have some fun.

I've thrown an old 4wd toyota beater around some twisties out in southern utah, but man, I'm a little more reluctant to start throwing a 30K+ car around in the dirt. I'd also be concerned about jacking up your paint. Sounds like a blast though, just don't know if I could deal with all the clicks and clanks I heard of rocks ripping my paint off, or worse - totally porking my alignment on a huge rock I wasn't able to spot going too fast.

Now get yourself a set of dirt tires or even a good set of snow tries and try it again, you will notice a big difference you will be able to go even faster!

man, that looks fun. I need to go find some salt flats or a dry lake bed to do this stuff on. When people say "dirt road" I think more along the lines of the hard packed, crusty kind with the half pound rocks scattered about them everywhere that are one lane wide.
