AMS Equipped EVO X MR from our friends at Mitsubishi
As many of your know Some of our guys made the trip to the long beach Grand prix 2 weeks ago for a super lap battle with our TA1 time attack car. Specifically the president and head engineer of AMS Martin Musial and shop foreman and head engine builder Tim Salefski.
Aside from Long beach Grand Prix event one of our friends over at Mitsubishi Corporate ofice in Cyprus asked to come by and to toss our new EVO X product line on the New Evolution X MR. We Grabbed some of our prototype units and tossed them in the trailer for the trip. After installing the goodies they then gave Tim and Martin the car to Drive around while in town for the race.
After much deliberation and some Arm Twisting Martin and Tim succumbed to Mitsubishi’s request and have been driving around an AMS equipped Evo X MR….are you kidding me they were laying rubber before the Mitsubishi rep finished the question. So far they LOVE IT. On top of the added power from the AMS parts they simply LOVE the MR transmission. It has a few different settings and to put it most simply it is just like driving a manual transmission car. There is even the ability to have it electronically down shift for you! Tim has been using expletives like “Bad ***” and “awesome” over and over again so I think it’s safe to say all you future MR owners out there are going to be in good hands.
Here are some pictures of the facility and the cars in cyprus. It’s a breath of fresh air seeing Mitsubishi working with a well known tuner on the EVO X. I think this is going to turn into something great for all current and future EVO owners.
Here are some pics:
Out in front of Mitsu
Oh dear look at all those Ralliarts I want!
The EVO X MR before Tim and Martin tear into it at Mitsbushi to install our AMS X part lineup
2cp factory brake rotors
Tim installing the AMS goodies on the new MR- he is too quick for the camera
AMS Goodies installed on the car
Looking good
Cheers

Whoa, hold on now. In the other post the only things listed were...
AMS Single tip Catback
AMS Performance intake pipe
AMS Upper intercooler pipe
AMS Front Mount intercooler
But in the tenth pic I am seeing an AMS EMS wired in. Whats up with that? So what are you boys not telling us? How much tuning did you do and what WHP do you think you ended up at?
That is the most interesting thing that I have seen so far on an MR...

Good news for MR + bolt-ons!!!!!!! Guess the SST won't REALLY catch fire as soon as the word "modification" is uttered within 100 feet of it...like all the naysayers keep saying...
