isn't that accessory package w/the e-brake & shift knob installed by the dealers themselves, so it's not Mitsubishi, it's the dealer?!

well i had the same problem with my e brake handle too and i cant find the damn screw i thought it was only me having this problem.. same thing happened to my shift knob when it was cold out the adhesive that holds the shift knob on the plastic thing with the threads kept coming off so now i have a arc shiftknob and a bare metal ebrake handle until i go to mitsu for a new screw. and also something is wrong with my trans it wont go into first gear anymore. 1100 miles. damn.

I bought mines brand new in 03, no problem other than the usual clutch, fading brake calipers and carbon fiber tail. No doubt its embarrassing. That vettes roof is one funny looking $hit! It looks like it was so fast that it went bald.

Come one, this thread is a joke... A couple of issues (MINOR AT THAT) and peoples already going awol. You can break without an e-brake, your can shift without a knob and the recaro issue is a simple fix , no harm no foul! Take it to the dealer and call Mitsu NA and explain to them your issues!

If I read properly, you're saying my car will stay still on a hill without the handbrake, that none of us should be complaining about driving with a missing knob, and that we should just sort of deal with our seats coming apart?

Maybe, just maybe my thread was a joke (not), but compared to your post, my thread's as serious as serious gets.

I didn't pay $40,000 for a car that has a messed up brake handle, a missing shift knob, and seats that come undone..
