I've seen in the Galant (Ralliart and SE) that there's an iPod ADAPTER (not cable) that lets you choose tracks, adjust volume, and play/pause using the car controls. The system also charges the iPod. What are the chances of the MR having this sort of setup? If not, is it just going to be the Auxiliary like the GSR has?

I did not see anything about it in our testor. I didnt look too much, but I had an ipod with me and looked a little. Ours was fully loaded to. Would have been nice to see this option. There was the aux input. Stereo is no different than the GSR ones

I wish this was part of the SSS package. I had the Alpine iX-100 in my Z and LOVED the ipod integration. Although...the location of the Aux input isn't that bad...so I guess I'll have to live with the charger/RCA cable combo.

the problem is, with Aux, you have absolutely no use of the car controls. What about the music server function... what exactly can that do? Can I take songs off of CDs I make and get track names on them?

you can get the drive and play from harmon & kardon. i had it for my RA and loved it. It doesn't integrate into your deck or into your steering controls, but has a secondary screen and a ipod like contoler you can mount anywhere. The install is pretty easy as well.
