Evo X vs. modern BMW cars (All X General threads merged)

Its stupid to add the street aspect to the comparision.
The Evo was never made to be comfortable and cruise the streets.
The Evo waxed the 135 on the track by almost 4 seconds.

The BMW is an impressive little car...heavy for its size but honestly its still very impressive. I need the little bit of extra space the Evo has, so I will go with it...
I just view the BMW as a little bit girly looking to be honest...I have all the respect in the world for it but i just can't get over its styling. Hopefully BMW will bring over a M series 1, that will be an incredible car.

Hmmm I wonder what Vishnu can do with that... That'll be sick if it'll easily gets 400hp. I might trade in my X. To bad BMW has the stereo type of a rich preppy kid. Especially the one the 135 will have.

No Bimmer is going to put down over 1k hp on the stock block stock internals.
The Bimmer is nothing like the Supra, nor will it put anywhere near 600whp with bolt ons. That is just rediculous.

Check out e92 forums and see how many 335i people didnt even make it of the dealership lot due to fuel pump failure.
(hint : 100's)
No motor will ever be like the 2jz again, im afraid. It will make 400 w torque and like 350whp though with bolt ons and a tune.

thats not true... im 18 (prep) and my parents bought my car for me...they offered me a 335i or some crap benz but i picked the evo x... my cousin has a bmw (which is not that impressive) because his parents suprised him with it..but if he had a choice he would of went with the sti...plus i get more girls with my car. i think they type of rich kid that you are talking about is one that dosent know anything about cars and only wants one because the avarage person things its the best car ever. as for me, i will never get a bmw... they are great cars, well built and prby much faster then my evo...but everyone has one. and you will probly see more older guys getting a 1 series bmw because it is the cheepist bmw. honestly i think anyone who gets a bmw besides a an m series or turbo charged bmw is just getting it because it has the bmw symbol. but thats just me. sorry for that but im tired of the avarage person saying they bmw's are the best when they know nothing about cars

I don't believe the hype. There's no way the new 135 nor 335 will be as capable nor has as much potential as any latest Japanese turbocharged 4 bangers such as EVOs or STi, Period. Pound for pound, a modded EVO or STi will beat the crap out of them.
Once you started modifying them(135/335), you will have more liability and dependability issues. Not to mention they cost more to mod down the road. The life span of these typical yuppy MB and BMW is 3-4 yrs.. after that, you will have to start dealing with electrical issues, bunch other problems. Thats just cold hard facts.
Don't believe me? go ahead and start modding your precious 135 or 335.. lets see how far it will take you
But don't get me wrong tho.. they are nice cars if you just want to look cool (a nice drop and some nice bling bling rims to cruise around town.) yee!
If you want to modify cars for kicks, stick w/ Japanese or Domestic.

Lol way too many people have BMW, it be more surprising to someone to be staring at an Evo rather than a BMW.
I bet anything that if an Evo X and a BMW 135i are on the same road, more attention will go to the Evo X.
For me, when I think of BMW, I think of Old rich people relaxing in their BMW going out on a cruise or to some casino xD
as for Evo X, I think of people staring at a nice looking car that are not on the street so much (at least around where I live)

Obivously biased towards BMW. fact. never mentioned the track times or breaking distance for the EVO , why? it was better than the 135i. obviously the BMW is more plush. so if you want to drive around with softer suspension then get the BMW. wow. I learned alot.

Damn wish I could get someone to buy a car for me. Sounds like my GF who got an M3 in highschool for being a "good kid". Haha. I've driven a lot of tuned up hopped up BMWs around. MY GFs brother runs a BMW racing shop (Road Race Tech, Reston, Va). They're some pretty mean machines, but last night after taking the exit ramp loop at 70mph without even slowing down nor feeling any bit uncomfortable my nod goes to the Evo. Hey, maybe the bmw can do that too, but I doubt that comfortably. RWD is a little more a drivers machine, but awd is just unreal cool.
