From a dig some minor mods for the EVO should be enough to hang for a while but if you were doing highway pulls I would think you would need lots of help to hang. The new M3s are marvelous IMO.

I agree to 60 times can be matched and stock M3 quarter times are 12.9 which is easily attainable, but on the high way the M3 will smoke the X. On a track Im not sure. I guess we will just have to wait and see at the track Im not sure what all you would need to hang I wouldnt think to much. I would definitely think type of track would matter to though. I would bet Average Driver vs Average Driver the X wins on the track though.

The Evo tops out at a electronically limited 162 mph. The M3 is 161 mph (elec lim.) This is according to Road & Track.

So I think it can hang with it on the autobahn.

Lol, if that's the case, then the EVO would win in a long distance race ... heh, depends how long though.... we do have an advantage of 1mph top speed

It depends on the track, if it is a large track you will get toasted... if it is a track where you have very little chance to open it up you well... still may get toasted. It also depends on weather. I personally feel that the E93 M3 is going to do you harm no matter how you slice it.

there is an optional, for all new Ms ... that they are limited at 305km/h, and also can be totally delimited.

is this for the american m3 or one bought overseas? i'm pretty sure they aren't as limited over there as they would be here.

I would take a look at the new Road & Track magazine that came out very recently. They compare a whole bunch of super cars including the new M3 and the new X MR. I know you're looking at the X GSR and not the MR, but the comparisons in the article are very informative. I highly recommend purchasing this specific magazine from Road & Track. It is one of the best articles ever!

Are you mistakenly calling the E92 coupe the E93 or are you trying to compare the M3 convertible to the X? E93 is the convertable and E92 is the coupe. And top speed may not be a factor if the M3 gets there a lot faster why wait around, the race would be over.
