Can I lease a X?
Hey guys, well iam thinking of getting rid of my 04 m3 convt. I went to two dealerships over here in NY. 1 said i could lease the car, the other 1 said i couldnt. ANY INFO WOULD HELP..

I leased mine. I think the residual value of 69% of MSRP is certainly higher than the actual residual will be. We'll see if I'm right. This being said it was much more cost effective, I know what I will spend up front.
Mitsu lowered the residuals by 1% about 30 days ago. But I'm only paying about $8k plus the cost of the money, unfortunately they will only give standard rates for money factor (int rate). They have great rates on the DE, ES and GTS but not on any of the X's.
Bottom line I would take any mods off the car as it won't really add any value when you're done with the car anyway. I think craig's list or ebay might get a little money back.
I'm dating the GSR for 24 months.

EVO is not good leasing
because it will get you a very good resale if you take care of it , plus most dealers wont even lease it becuase they have buyers for the car. most dealers give lease incentives on cars to lure people in and on the cars that arent selling well

well i went to the dealer and they told me they wanted $920x 72 months..thats over 20k in interest...i would much rather lease the car for under $500 and decide if i want to buy the car at the end.

actually its going to be on my sisters name and her credit is unbelievably great...she does have my 04 my on her name and her IS350 on her name,both cars we brand new..some how i just though the dealer was trying to get me as a SUCKER...
