Mpg?
#32
I get about 20 mpg (80% city, 20% hwy.) Pretty conservative driving tho...I bet it would be closer to 18 if I drove harder. If you hypermile this thing, I bet you can get pretty close to 26mpg, but who wants to hypermile an Evo? =)
Was avg. 18mpg before reflash. I was suprised how much it helped.
PS. The dash display has a gas milage tracker. I like to call it the car's conscience. When you romp on the gas, you can watch the little bar graph disappear behind "0".

I changed my driving habits significantly, and I've been averaging 20mpg city (with traffic!) and I can do maybe 24 on the highway (steady at 60-70mph). [Disclaimer: numbers provided by our factory digital calculator, not my own calculations]
Few days ago filling up I noticed it was the first time I got 190 miles out of a tank.
Woohoo!

With no traffic, latest Mitsu reflash and a hommade intake I am getting about 22 average. 21.5-22 anyway average. Oddly I get almost the same city as I do highway. About 21-22 city and 23-24 highway

lolz, RA gets like the same gas mileage as an Evo X. If ur worried about gas mileage, u can buy my stock '98 Civic Hatch that is no fun to drive and gets 40 mpg no matter what I do and how much I beat on and abuse it. Who cares what gas mileage you get if you actually ENJOY driving the car. "You only live once!", as everyone around me keeps saying to justify retarded decisions on their part [no offense to actual retarded persons of course].

I wouldn't be too mad, you're doing better than the 16/22 that it's rated at. In fact, it seems like quite a few people here are getting better than the EPA rating. Which sounds good to me, as I'm in the market for a new car and the X is on my list but I was a little concerned by the 16/22 EPA rating. But I still wonder why Mitsu doesn't just throw a really tall sixth gear on the manual to help highway mileage?

Well, that is not bad at all.. if i'm getting 20-25 MPg mixed I would be happy...
If they threw a 6 that would probably take our Torque out... Making this worst than a STI... STI high HP low T
I think I notice 5+MPG after doing a filter drop in

My first tank I got 245 miles on 11.5 gallons. Which equates to about 21.3mpg. I did about 65/35 hwy/city. Hopefully the more it breaks in, the better the mileage gets. I was told it had the 2nd flash.

I'm confused, how would adding a sixth gear reduce torque? I'm not very mechanically inclined, so any explanation (hopefully in layman's terms -lol) is appreciated.
