the gas thing is really in peoples mind because the evo has a smaller gas tank so it needs to be filled more often often. the mpg is really decent for its weight and power and lack of a OD 6th gear.

if you can afford 30-40k for a performance vehicle you should be able to afford 91+ @ $4.30-4.90 gas on x as a DD.

I don't know about most people but having a large truck generally only accumulates junk in it, the x has plenty room for necessities.

it is a little loud (as a performance car should be).
you're right, it is in people's mind. my 03 cobra used to give me 15 miles a gallon on a good day, and i drove that as a DD.

i think many people automatically think of a civic, accord, or corolla when it comes to DD & in relations to mpg. hence, the evo has bad mpg when use it is driven daily for communting purpose.

If you are used to luxury cars, like I was, you need to constantly remind yourself that you are in a serious performance car. Road noise on certain types of roads is really tiring.

Ain't that the truth! My wife drive a Lexus now and she thinks the X rides pretty decently.

We test drove a 996 911 and 997 911 today (for her) and she thought they were both overly rough compared to the Evo.

And very cramped. And twice the price (used obviously).

Evo X FTW!

(no seriously, she liked the G35S 6MT better so we'll likely end up that route)

Reviews on the 6MT have not been great, i think it was Car & Driver that had a long-term 6MT G35S and said they really hated it compared to the auto tranny with the pedals. My 04 G35x auto tranny had some issues though....but from what I've read the new tranny is very nice.

way OT but C&D are a bunch of pussies that like honda light clutches. She had a G35 coupe with the factory stiff clutch in 03 and really misses it. Test drove the 6MT yesterday and was sold (drove the auto right after only to be nice).

Plus, when coming around a corner under partial throttle, there's nothing more disconcerting than a torque converter trying to lock up...

Pros:
Handles exceptionally well in stock form
Looks good (my opinion)
SSS package is worth the money
Sound system is good for me and HID's are a must

Cons:
No 6th gear
4th gear is to short
Fit & finish sucks for the money
For 35k the interior seems the same as my IX i had

Cons out number the pro's. Guess i may be unloading it soon. Anybody want a PB X with SSS 700miles
