Wind Noise X MR

Does any one else have excessive wind noise on the drivers side window starting at 60mph? It sounds like there isn't a good seal on the window. Just wanted to know if it was normal or if I need to get the dealer to fix it.

have the dealer look at it.

Also, some dealers have "fixed" the tint scratching issue by removing the seal that scratches tint. This breaks the seal and causes wind noise.

my GTS has it as well. I cant figure out where its coming from, my first guess it was the leading edge of the side mirror, but I think its coming from the pillar. something is not cutting the air right

Both evos I've owned have heaps of wind noise IX & X, it's what evo's do. They seem to forget about the finer details of a car.

Yea, my GSR sounds like a wind tunnel, especially when I switch back and forth between the Si and the X. You get used to it after awhile. Thanks for reminding me!

My previous 2005 STI was noisy as hell, but very little wind noise!
My Evo X MR is quite except for the wind noise, it drives me nuts.
Took it to the dealer and was told that's the way they are.
I put some rubber where the side mirror breaks and folds and it is a bit better. I think it is bad aerodynamics somewhere rather than a window/door leak.

I have it as well. Obviously it's not a big deal, but it would be nice to fix that up.

No wind noise on my GSR but with the back windows rolled down halfway is a different story. When I first heard it, I thought I was going deaf or something

i got wind noise in my gsr... that plus the low stereo volume with the stock unit doesn't mix well. I'll drown it out with a new exhaust lol.

i guess the dealer was trying to hide that when he kept rolling down the window when I was test driving it on the freeway

Heck yeah i get some nasty buffeting with the rear windows down. It drove me nuts when i left the dealership for the first time and didn't realize they were down. I almost took it back because it hurt my ears so much. I thought it was because the front windows were down.
