I installed the Yakima kit with the base components in that thread and the PowderHound. It came out real nice, seems high quality.

One thing tho antics22, when you said it takes 10-15 mins to install, I hope you were talking about a preassembled kit? Because it took me almost two hours just to install the base racks with towers properly, and another thirty minutes+ to install the fairing and the ski carriers.. Cold fingers!

But Im very happy with it so far. Looks good!

Edit:
Oh and also, your measurements were way off according to Yakima's site.. Where did you get 5 1/2" and 32" from? I used 10" and 28 1/2"...

I haven't gotten around to taking pics so that I can post it yet, but I'm going to be selling my Thule setup for the X that's documented here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ent-found.html It works great I just moved the Evo to full-time track duty and am now using the STI for daily driving and bike and snowboard hauling.

yes, the 10-15 minutes was for a pre-assembled setup. Thats how long it takes for me to slap these on to my car.. sorry, should have been more clear about that... the measurements you're quoting was for the rack on my IX... sorry for the confusion! I originally wrote that thread for the IX and updated the first post with new X fitments... glad it worked out for you though!

anyone have the measurements for the yakima racks? I've used the M1-M4 measurements to attempt install but it's not working out well.

The front seats are out of an MR, so they are leather/alcantara. The baby seats are Recaro's!!

I need a bike rack, but I was wondering, does it scratch the side (by the door) where those straps are? Apart from Yakima and Thule are there any other racks (universal) that will fit?

Go with an inno rack. I work at a ski/bike shop and highly recommend an inno unfortunately Thule doesn't make a fit kit for the x or any lancer that is but inno is 2nd to Thule and Thule is one of the best.

Yes I do, I ride around 70 miles a week and its a pain putting the bike in the back seat and taking it out. I was going to use one of those rear racks (had it on my civic) but it scratched up the trunk so I'm sure its going to kill my Evo trunk.
