The aerocatch hood pins look great. If I ever go with a carbon fiber hood I will get those.

I'm just wondering why their installed the why they're , with the bigger end facing front wards instead of vice versa. Is that the only way it would work? Or did u guys just like it that way better?

Nice work boys!

Are the CF doors already painted and on the car?

What did you guys use to secure the roof to the body? Epoxy stuff?

Indeed no foglights, and the driver side plastic is mesh. Are you going to leave the plastic air guides that normally sit on each side of the FMIC? What plans are in the works for brake ducts or cold air intake?

They said they removed the fog lights.

The mesh is a strandard type that Mitsu uses... But a cean job on the Conversion.

Finding the "right spot" to mount Aero Catch hood pins is tough. They recommend mounting the small end forward and inline with the air flow.

Here are the issues with mounting them that way:

1. The "catch" portion of the latch is in the big end meaning the majority of the latch would be forward of the pins.

2. The further forward you go on an Evo, the more curved the hood is.

3. The Aero Catch is dead flat and can not be bent to contour with the hood.

I personally like to use the bump stop location for hood pins. Its designed to support the weight of the hood and take some abuse. I used that location on the X. I could have positioned it straight back inline with air flow but I thought it looked better at the angle I positioned them at. It also made opening up access for the mounting nuts easier due to the position of the bottom structure of the hood.
