In San Antonio Tx we have about 1.4 million people. 3 dealerships. And about 4 Evo's to chose from. If they dont sale the car to you they are confident they will sale it to someone else
The incentives are out there, if you time things right. 2 weeks ago New York dealers were offering me $1000 rebate, 500 loyalty and 0% for 36 mos. this was a March promotion for 2011's. He had about 10 Evos to chose from, incl a couple of 2012s

When I bought my 2008 GSR in early 2009, I got 2k dealer discount, 2k cash back and 0% for 60 mos. The economy had just taken a dump back then. But still, if you do your homework and be patient you can get a bargain.

Depends on your area also, My area has 3 dealerships. The most Evo's they carry at one time is two. They also do not bargain much on them. If Mitsu offers rebates they will honor them. But Mitsu has not offered $1000 rebate or customer loyalty in my area throughout the X's years of sale.

Like you say they it will take research and extra effort. For example if that dealership in NY was offering $1500 off, then you would have to factor in travel from Tx to NY and back.

I was able to talk $1500 off my Evo down here in SA. But Mitsu honored their $500 customer loyalty. Then they gave me $500 of from an internet coupon and then $500 off being my military service. But other than that they were not going a dime less.

Back in 2010 when I got my evo in canada the car was a "demo" with 400 km and I was able to get military discount loyalty discount and then 10k off the car with 0% finacing and interest.

It's all in how hurting the dealership is to sell. This dealership needed the evo gone before the new year.

I purchased my NEW 2012 Wicked White last Saturday for $35,102. Only options were Sight and Sound. Edmunds.com had it at $36,469. Got it $1,300 below invoice! So if anyone is trying for a good deal shoot for at least 1k below invoice.. Just make sure you talk with as many dealership in the area and tell them you want the bottom line price and you are a serious buyer. I got pushed around from 3 other dealers before i got this offer.

Not trying to burst your bubble, but you got 1K under MSRP not invoice. But congrats on the new purchase. Enjoy it.

My 2012 was $33.8 but did not have sight and sound. I probably would have been able to find a better deal, but I didnt want to deal with out of area dealers and all the searching and BS'ing that goes with it.

I researched the dealers in my area. And picked up my Evo that night. Short, simple, and to the point. Time is money with me. I may have found a better deal elsewhere, but would have lost money with the time it would have took to research, travel, possible higher interest rate, etc.

And nice car and congrates. I was really leaning towards the WW. Best color on the X IMO. But everyone and their momma's have the WW in my area. You also see alot of WW GTS's here as well. But I guess its the most popular cause it looks the best.

guys I've been working with a dealership and have gotten a PB 08 X with 50xxx miles on the clock for 26000 down to 24,200. They started at giving me 8k for my 03 g35 coupe and now have bumped it up to 9k. so 15,200 difference and i'm shooting for 14,500 difference. what do you guys think?

Are there any dealers in the Carolinas or Virginia, or even the east coast, that will match the prices on South Coast's website?

IE
Brand new 2012 GSR = $31490
Leftover new 2011 GSR = $29,990

Last time I bought from South Coast (2008), I paid $725 in shipping across the country, so even if shipping a little more now, buying from South Coast is still the best bet for me, unless someone nearby will just match their price and I drive/fly out and pick it up and drive it home.
