How Much for a new Evo / Is this a good deal? *Sticky/Merge* (Includes EvoM vendors)

Yours looks great and it's a preview for me. Mine should be similar when it arrives sometime later this week. I ordered a 2012 Phantom Black MR, with Premium, Touring, Navigation, and Interior Illumination packages. Pretty much every option on the vehicle except for the chrome mirror covers.

I paid a little more for my MR similarly equipped, but did extend warranty and had to pay for a new tag, not transfer it, so that may account for some of the price difference. What a car!

Congrats to you both! I'm just about to go over 600 miles soon. Then I can really start having some fun. Either way it's a blast!
Netjoy you did the same thing I did. I also drove up from Miami to get it and drove it down =).
To those asking if the sound system is worth it... I'm definitely happy I dropped the extra bucks on the sound system and navigation. It makes the car feel a lot more high-end than the base model. The Leather/Suede Recaro seats are pretty amazing too.

Your choice, but I would want it.

Hey everyone, I've been reading these forums for a while now, and thank you guys for all your great information that helped me with my purchase. This is my first post. I just bought a 2013 WW EVO X GSR w/ SSS + LEATHER + NAV + AERO + WHEEL LOCKS
Purchase date is 9/15/2012
A little background: I went back and forth between a 2012 and 2013, wanting to save money on a 2012. Originally I wanted an MR, but it was too difficult to find the one I wanted for the right deal. Also, I didn't like that the MR doesnt ever come with the Aero kit and that you have to get the premium package and the touring together. I don't like the chrome accents, the color matched vents, and the fact that youre paying twice for upgraded seats (the premium package comes with the upgraded suade/fabric seats, and touring comes with leather) with the premium package. Also, I drove in my buddys 2013 MR and didn't feel that the paddle shift was as amazing and aggressive as, for example, the 2011 M3 DCT. Anyways, here is what I paid:
2013 WW EVO X GSR w/ SSS + LEATHER + NAV + AERO + WHEEL LOCKS
Invoice price: $40,941.31
The only fee I paid, which I wasn't happy about, was the $795 dest charge, which is included in the above invoice price. I also got 36 month 0% financing. Came to $44,3xx after TTL (6.6% AZ Taxes)
In the end, I will be stoked with the car. It has everything I want. And IMO looks much nicer than the MR out of the box (Rims, Ride height, Aero Kit, Wing, Black vents and grill). Paying invoice price plus the destination charge, I feel, was a great deal considering its a 2013 and still has all the packaging material on it. Straight off the boat. I've been researching and calling/emailing dealers for 3 months now. Could've bought a 2012 MR with Nav + Premium + Touring for $45,000 OTD, but it didn't have the Aero Kit and was a year older, plus had hail damage that was repaired. That scared me. Or could've got a 2013 MR with same trims as above for $47,700 OTD. But, I decided with the GSR.
Reason I bought 2013 vs 2012:
Less depreciation on 2013. Currently the 2012's are already a year old and have been sitting on lots for a year. Also, some states, like TX and southern states, have had extremely bad hail storms. There's been tons of evos damaged by this. Some repaired, some not. Also, when its the last year a certain model car is produced, that car usually holds a higher resale. However, you can possibly get a 2012 for under invoice price, especially the base models. I just couldn't find the one i wanted for a good enough price to justify buying a 2012. Also, my car has ZERO miles on it
Reason i bought the GSR vs MR:
There are less MR's than GSR's. Its harder to find that perfect one. It seems the GSR is easier to mix and match packages and get something you're happy with. I also feel the dealers negotiate less on the MR's and treat them like there are only 5 on the planet (In most cases). I wasn't impressed with the SST Paddle Shift system in these. I've driven a 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo, a 2011 M3 Coupe, and a 2010 GTR, all with paddle Shift, and I felt that the MR's just didn't have that crisp aggressive feel like the others. Am I comparing apples and oranges? Maybe. By the way the MR that I drove had a reflash with a drop-in and full exhaust, but didn't feel very fast.
Sorry for the extra long post guys. Just reading the forums, not having and EVO, and never posting caused some EPS (excessive posting syndrome). But its all out now. Time to go drive the machine. Out

Find out what the OTD price is. They might try to tack on a bunch of fees to make it look better than it really is

Dealer by me (New York City) was offering me a 2013 Phantom Black MR with the premium package for $41,300...gonna still shop around and look for better deals. If anyone knows any good dealerships in NYC plz let me know!

To those asking if the sound system is worth it... I'm definitely happy I dropped the extra bucks on the sound system and navigation. It makes the car feel a lot more high-end than the base model. The Leather/Suede Recaro seats are pretty amazing too.

As for good pricing, I made sure the deal didn't shy away from what was on Kelly Blue Book and Edmund's fair market values.
Good luck!
