I did go for it; I think it's a steal since I shopped around for other cars in the area. I learned quite a bit on Mitsubishi and how aggressive they are with their financing right now. I do think I'll keep it at the end. If anybody is about to lease let me know and I'll explain how my deal went down
whats interesting is that under my lease my actual interest rate is close to 0% so its essentially a loan.. I might have ot wait about 1 more yea or so to keep my payments in the $320 a month arena when I get the loan.
You can mod when you lease if you are 100% sure you will buy the car.

HELP on buying an used EVO.
Hello,
I am completely new to this forum. I am still researching on these forums on the side, but I am posting the specs of the car I am about to buy. Its a 2008 Lancer Evo GSR. It has around 66000 miles on it. It is priced at 19,900$. I just wanted to know if it is a good deal. It has a few bolt ons. Here are the list of modifications.
1) AMS Intercooler
2) AMS lower and upper IC Piping
3) K&N Air Filter
4)Invidia Titanium 3 turbo back exhaust with test pipe
5)Greddy BOV
6)Greddy Profec B Spec II EBC -- Tuned for 25/28 psi on 93 Octane (Isnt it a bit too high for stock turbo?)
7)Carbon fiber fenders and hood
8) FB Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW 255/35ZR18 94Y tires
9) Eibach Pro Lowering Kit -- Vehicle calibrated for lower stance
10)Hardwired for Escort 8500/9500 radar detectors
11)Alpine PDX-5 amp.
Is it low priced? I am about to test drive the car. I will be talking to a couple of mechanics regarding the car, but is there anything that I should look out for? I did go through the check list on this forum about buying an used evo. I feel that the car is a bit low priced and it seems a bit fishy to me. Again, I am a complete newbie. So help or pointing me to the right direction will be greatly appreciated !!
THANKS !!

What would you guys pay for this car? I have asked a tuner that is nearby about it and they say all the parts are genuine and the car looks like it's fine mechanically.

I would say so. White is a great color, the price is about what I paid for my 2011 gsr with 9500 miles. Looks to be in good shape but how does the interior and drive train look would be my concerns. If its stock you would still be under warranty....so go for it man

looks like it has the smart key system make sure you get the actual key fob and not just a plain key . the smart key fob is about 350 with program i had to get my own. other than that not bad .

I'm not trying to sound like a party-pooper however, I don't think I would suggest *anyone* buy a used Evo without physically checking it out. If it looks like anything was modd'd I would suggest datalogging and compression testin.
I see it only has 11k on it and that's cool and all, but did you notice the poster's description on the vehicle was just BS about the base Lancer models and the RA...nothing about the Evo. So this is a copy-paste posting, so how accurate is the rest of the info on it?
I'm just sceptical on ebay for anything other than a car that you just want for parts or if you didn't care about surprises.

anyone? Guys I know there are tons of post about buying an used evo. But each mods are different in each car. I really wanted YOU evo owner's opinion about my situation. And this is my first car. I do not want to screw it up.
Thanks.
