IMO the VIII and IX are a better car if you are planning to achieve a lot of power. I don't know if this is your case or not but the iron blocks on the eights and nines are way stronger than the x. Your going to need to sleeve the aluminum block of the X to get it strong enough for 600 plus. I know that is a lot of power and you may not think you will get there but once the need for speed kicks in you'll be there in no time. Plus my buddy just blew his X but he is retarded and ran a Cobb ap. I do think over all the X is a great car but I'm happy with my 8. Sorry for the late response. I hope the search goes well

It all depends on your driving needs and goals for the car. Your gonna come across a lot of people who will pressure you into getting a VIII or IX but in reality your chances of finding one in good condition or close to stock are slim. All 3 cars are great and if you can test drive all 3 before your decision, do it. As for the car up for sale, test drive it, ask the private seller if he kept records of maintenance (especially the 60k service), the mods are fine, a few of them are not top of the line, but they are far from ebay quality. But like 4g63forthewin said most people in the market for an evo are looking for close to stock as possible and that raises the price if they are in good condition. Good luck and if your not totally in love with the car after the test drive don't settle there's always an evo waiting to be found out there.

I would start at $37,500 and work up from there. I wouldn't go higher than $38,000.

Hey all,

The car was well maintained, the transmission was really good. I loved the car. And regarding the compression test results.. These are the numbers

1) 140 2) 145 3) 140 4) 150.

What do you guys think about the numbers?

Thanks

Check out TrueCar, great site. Looks like they can refer you to a dealer that'll sell it for $36.5K

Hey I live in El Paso Texas and i want to buy an Evo X. I am currenty interested in a 2008 Evo X MR and the price is listed at 34,999, I think that that is a litle expensice and I might be able to find a cheaper price for another MR if I look around. What do you guys think about the price?

Considering you can buy a BRAND NEW Evo X GSR for $35K, I would say a five year old Evo MR for the same price is a rip off.

Just wanted to interject. $28,900 is what my buddy got quoted over the phone for a leftover 2011, yes 2011 at :

I am not affiliated with this dealer, just wanted to share. They are discounts if you want a New car, LOL. If they had a blue one I would buy. Just grey or black left.
