It is not but it still has 55months of warranty. Someone traded it in for a new BMW

I'm new to the forum and new to Evos!

I'd like to have all my stuff in order before contacting dealers. I'm looking for a GSR and I'm leaning toward a 2015 but wouldn't mind a 2014 if that became available first.

I plan on keeping the car for a few years and lightly mod it eventually. Personally, I don't care about the options and would be perfectly happy in a bare bones GSR.

How much would options affect the resale value?
Do you predict the 2014 with Recaro seats are going to be more valuable in a few years?

Of course I want a car now but would it be wise to wait a bit to try negotiating?

Thanks!

You should spend a few minutes and read back through this thread. All of your questions are answered in very good detail.

Good luck with your purchase.

All this research is hurting my brain..

I might have the 2014 GSR SS as my #1 pick and maybe if they have 2015s with the SS package I can use the lack of Recaros to negotiate a better price.

I personally think that the 15's will be substantially less desirable after a few years of depreciation because of the lack of Recaros. I know I personally wouldn't even consider one new or used unless it was dirt cheap.

Sorry if I'm spamming up the thread because it's not new but is this a good deal? It hasn't sold in over 3 months and that worries me a little. Maybe asking too much?

$29k asking for a 2011 gsr with 11k miles

Thats actually not a horrible deal. I mean its not a steal either but a car with that low of miles that is a 2011 is going to be a hard find.

Seller never replied.

When it comes to new cars within a few hundred miles of me, it looks like I have the choice of buying a 2014 bare bones or a 2015 with the SS package if I want to stay within my price range. The dealers know they can charge whatever they want for the 2014 now.

Decisions, decisions.... Nice seats or the nice headlights?? haha

No, the most certainly cannot. Keep looking around.

I'm in Sacramento and would love to just go to a dealer in person. However, the closest dealer that has 2015s or 2014s (not even ss) is over 2 hours away.

Would you suggest I see what they can do over the phone? I can't see anyone budging over the phone but I've never done this before.

I'm having trouble finding a 2014 gsr ss within a few hundred miles.

I appreciate the input by the way.

I set up my entire deal over the phone and email. I walked in, signed paperwork and drove home in under an hour.

Now I went to a dealer that was an hour away, but it was well worth it to get the best price.

So what do you guys think of this one? Does anyone possibly know the original owner? If you were to buy, what would be the most you would pay?

Any second opinions on this? I might check it out.

Model year +mods+needing to smog here make me weary.

Just weighing my options. Of course I'll be taking a depreciation hit buying new but I'll get peace of mind knowing the car was well cared for.

Last car buying experience made me jaded after travelling pretty far only to find several things wrong after doing a pre-purchase inspection.
