My friend is trying to lease a '15 evo, but he only has 2 years of credit with a low 700s score. He can put a big down payment if necessary but is it likely he will be able to lease one without a cosigner? I'm assuming his insurance might be on the expensive side (age 24) even though he said he has no tickets or anything bad on his record, he works part time and lives with his parents so he doesn't have to worry about all other costs of living. Anyone been in this situation?

He should be able to. I just hope he is willing to shell out the better half of 1k a month to drive someone else's Evo. In my opinion an Evo is probably one of the worst cars to lease to own on the other hand... They hold value to well and the lease is fairly expensive.

Idk what it's like where you live but I am 34 and am still paying $200+ a month for insurance (damn NYC).

If he only works part time and still lives with his parents at 24 he probably shouldn't be leasing an Evo haha

$1k a month? Im guessing that's from the monthly payments, gas and general maintenance?

that's what I was thinking, but he's from another country. They don't really move out so they got that luxury

Depending on the miles it's not bad. Is that with all taxes and fees?

That's a good deal... I have been shopping around for a few weeks and finally scored a new OB FE with Ext pkg, LED pkg, and Strut Brace for 5k below msrp. Finally committed today and will take delivery next week. New member here and needless to say I'm excited to get mine... always wanted an Evo for many years now and although no Recaros on the FE which is a bummer but at least I finally saved the best for last.

Just bought a 2014 GSR with 18,000 miles for $33,000 OTD. Super happy to finally have this car and had a great time cruising around today. Thanks to everyone here for all these posts, it has been very helpful in my research!
