How Much for a new Evo / Is this a good deal? *Sticky/Merge* (Includes EvoM vendors)

My dealership has a deal going on where you can lease a 2009 Evo (Im assuming GSR) for $399 a month for 36 months with $3,000 down. Now I'm paying $354 a month for a fully loaded 2008 Lancer GTS CVT so I wouldn't mind the extra $45 a month for an evo. But I'm not sure how leasing works exactly. I'm assuming you're not allowed to mod it at all, or do anything customization to it? And at the end of the 36 months I have to give the car back right or I get the option to buy it but at a much higher price than it would have been if I would have bought it by taking out a loan?
I'm basically wondering if this seems like a good deal or not.

Bad deal all day long. Just buy one st8 up...you can almost get one fully loaded now for 31k OTD. Just do the math man. That lease u r paying like 17k over 3 years and your residual is going to be like 20k. Leasing is a bad way to go right now with the depression and all.
I leased my GSR for a steal before the whole market went to ****. I pay $445 a month for a fully loaded GSR, every option, with ZERO money down and 15k miles/yr.
I wish I would have waited til now to buy one outright @ 0%, but I didn't feel like waiting. Plus, in 15 months I just plunk that car down and get something new. Probably a Genesis 2.0T coupe.

Well, Atzenhoffer Mitsu in Victoria, TX is offering me either a base GSR for $26.5K or a GSR SSS for$28.5K. This includes the 0% and mil/loyalty rebates. My sticking point is my trade-in, an 08 Pontiac G8 GT. They don't want to give me what its worth, so I may just walk.

I searched through 4 dealerships to get the right price on my new Evo X w/ssr package. Through 3 dealerships they ranged from 31k-33k OTD. I finally found a dealership that gave me a hell of a deal at 29k OTD! A lot of dealerships cant even get close to that number! If your in the market IMO search around, and try to find a dealership with a lot of Evo's in stock trying to do a firesale on them!
Ohhhh my deal was at 0% APR also!

If I went off of the Mitsu site, I would have paid close to 34K for my Evo, instead of the 29K OTD that I did pay. Right now there is about 4K in free money from Mitsu [2K rebate + 2k in Dealer Cash], and it looks like the dealer only discounted the car about 3.5k for you, if the 37,995 is just the price of the car. So in reality, you paid $500 OVER MSRP to the dealer on a 1 year old car. You should have paid closer to 32-33k for that car. But if you have already signed the paperwork, just don't worry about it, take it as a lesson to do your research a bit further BEFORE you buy your next car.

dont mean to be a dick but read before you reply - I was asking if 36,500 is a decent price for an MR - not GSR - with Aero and interior package.
I offered the dealer 35k cash including 6% tax - which would make the car somewhere around $33ish...again for an MR that has a sticker of $42, asking dealer price of $38, I got him to $36 +TTT and walked away.
Im just asking if $35K cash is feasible including 6% sales tax on this MR.
Thoughts?

Since when does being a citizen have anything to do with a FACTORY rebate on a vehicle purchase. I think they lied to you. They could have put it into the deal so that it went straight from the FACTORY TO THE DEALER. Let me guess, they probably did put it into the deal but did not show it to you in the paperwork, so that they could make more profit off of you. Where did you buy your car from so that I can flame the hell out of them and tell people to stay away. I got the military rebate [which you don't actually have to be a citizen to get either because you don't have to be a US citizen to join the US military] but not the loyalty rebate because this is my first .
