It's from a private seller in Virginia. The car is less than two months old with 1900 miles in excellent condition. It's been broken in properly for the first 1200 miles.

I'm sure you already know this, but don't forget to pull a Carfax on it. The car may have been in his/her hands for 2 months but you wanna be sure about before that.

I am going this Saturday to the dealership. Looking at a Rally Red EVO X GSR w SSS + interior trinket package $399. THE MSRP is $36000 , I am thinking that I will try to deal with them to get it to 29-30k OTD w/ TTL. Has only 30 miles on it.
I am putting down 7-8k cash and a 06 Scion tC w MT (has 48k miles) worth abou 9-9.5k. So about a $17-18k down-payment.
I have plus the royalty rebate & Sam's Club rebate. I have a rather good credit score well above 720 so I will qualify for the 0% at 60month.
Do you think that is a correct market price to shoot for or should I go lower?

basic figures for interested evo buyers
unless dealers are getting a stairstep program incentives (which they won't really know till the end of the month depending on how many mitsu's they sell)
basically most dealers have
$1800-$2000 markup
$600 holdback
$2000 dealer cash
$2000 customer cash (gone if you get 0% ....which i would recommend)
$500 loyalty if you qualify
$500 military if you qualify
$500 sams club card (might as well buy a $40 sams club membership to get a free $500 sams club card sent to you in the mail after you buy a mitsu)
and fyi most of the rebates/discounts are taxable and dealers have plate/doc fees from the states around $200-$400 depending on where you live.
Any additional discounts worked is simply the dealers bending over and loosing money just to get rid of the car and end the bleeding of money each month , and /or to hit the previously mentioned stairstep money from mitsubishi depending on how many mitsu's they sell

hey, sorry my post was 29990 plus TTL..
yeah, i wanted to put 15k down because it just made me feel better about the entire thing.
My car had 68 miles on it. It's not a "new" car if it had 2100 miles. that is just crazy. i wouldn't ever buy a car with 2100 "test drive" miles.. that's basically all tore up.
hope all this helps

uuh, quick question. the mitsu page has been updated and it says:
So does that mean if i finance say 15k, I have to pay an additional $250 (16.67 * 15)?! I hope I'm having this all wrong lol.
0.0% APR for 60 months (60 monthly payments of $16.67 per $1,000 financed at 0.0% APR)

This means that at 0% you will ONLY PAY 15,000 / 60 = monthly payment

i still can never comprehend someone putting serious money down with 0% available......if you can't make more then .01% on 15k or so over 60 months you are nuts....or stupid but honestly to have 15k to put down either the persons parents are loaded or they are smart and know how to make money lol
