I've Googled and searched forever for that info and couldn't find anything. Looks to me there's some valuable weight savings to be had with aftermarket seats.

^ The only downside to changing seats is dealing with an airbag light. The article said that if you use a resistor, you can fool the computer. This is one area where some serious weight can be dropped.

Yes, taking care of the airbag light is cake.

As far as the passenger seat sensors go, I work with load cells for a living so I'm not worried about quickly finding a solution for that.

i know that tread is old but i got the same idea on the forum in quebec so when i saw that thread i was happy to see some people having the same interest about the weight
