What is your Dealership Experience Like?
I love the EVO -- it is an amazing drive compared to any other four seat on the market. But the only thing that worries me is the dealer network/mitsubishi corporate and how they may or may not treat their customers. So what is the general dealership experience for normal maintenance and service? How about a breakdown?

I've only been to my dealer a few times since I got my car and they have been very helpful. Few warranty issues(BT, exhaust) and had no hassle even when they saw mods on my car. Only thing I don't like is that my dealership doesn't have courtesy cars at all and no shuttle on the weekend(only time I can drive up their) I don't know if they are all like that. Had a Honda before the lancer and the service after I bought the car was horrible and that's why I traded it in. Paint peeled off my dash after 2 months and they said too bad. Wanted to charge me $350 to replace part of my dash. You won't be dissapointed with

I am located in the Northeast. I had a 3000GT VR4 before...and didn't have that great of a dealership experience...but that was almost 10 years ago.
All the dealerships are super friendly and really want to make a deal to sell a car...but I am just worried about how they act on the backside of the deal.

It's hit or miss....
I'm lucky as my dealership made purchasing the X simple-matched Southcoast and 0% financing...a total of 45 minutes.
They have a great Service Department as their Head mechanic is a Evo guy..gives sage advice and truly knows his way around the car...exceptionally helpful!
Other peoples' experiences have been the exact opposite depending on their dealer.

I strongly suggest Mitsu to sell EVO to a more reputable company like Acura or infinity etc so that it can live as a legend in the servicing dept. too

Great data so far -- seems like establishing a relationship with the right dealer is the key to success...hopefully they will be nice to me even if I didn't buy the car at that dealer since I move fairly often.

^^for some reason the dealer i purchased my x from has the only service department that can't mount my advan rz's correctly. i took the car in for service on the rotors and when i left my steering wheel would shake. turned around and went right back, they tried again and when they couldn't fix the problem the service writer proceeded to tell me i needed adapters. went to firestone the next day to have my wheels rotated and the problem went away.
