To NOS or not to NOS
To NOS or not to NOS that is the question.
I am thinking of spraying my car... I hear a lot mixed reviews about NOS so I think this is a good topic.
If you say yes please give me an idea of how much to spray.

What are your current mods right now? If you don't have much, and know your engine can take the extra power, I would say around 100 shot, that wouldn't be too bad. If you feel it can handle more, bump up to a 150 or 200 shot. If you are already running many mods+tune etc, and already have a high amount of horsepower, don't go over a 100 shot since you won't know how much power you engine can handle. Thats my 2 cents though.

In a way, I agree also, but what if he has a big list of mod with an aggressive tune already and wants some more power? I know not many or any turbo upgrades are available so to get that extra hp, is kind of hard. Using the bottle is peoples personal preference you know? Personally I'd rather go only engine but with an evo I wouldn't go past a aggressive tune and a high list of mods. but If I was in a situation like him where he wants more power and already has the tune and mods for a better 1/4 times. Then y not try a small shot out you know? Thats saying he has the mods and tune. If he has it stock, the do the mods first then a tune.

NOS is a fine way to get some extra WHP as long as you don't get stupid with it. It is very easy to just put the bigger nozzle in. You need to know when to say "NO" I sprayed a 75 shot on a high compression Honda motor for 2 years and never one issue. Just be realistic and use a wet kit with the safety nets

First off "NOS" is a brand, the proper term you want to use is nitrous oxide. Second, is this going to be on the stock turbo? If so, then in my opinion it is a waste of money because as people have stated earlier you can get the same amount of power with exhaust, MBC, and tune. Also, the power is always there whereas nitrous oxide, you have a limited source of power. But if you already have many upgrade like upgraded turbo, full bolt-ons, and tune, then why not? Using nitrous oxide depends on your goals and what you already have done to your car.

Well where I'm at
Full bolt ons and a tune. Going for a cam to get it into the 400 whp range and the next step is a $5000 turbo kit... Why spend the money when you can do a 75 of 100 shot for 500 bucks.... Yeah its not on all the time but when do we drive to the car full potential all the time. If your at the track turn on switch and your done. ready to go home turn off the switch and your are in a 400 whp evo. Some people are so against nitrous cause they say it's easy power or cheap power but isn't that the main goal.... When I'm ready to spend 5k in a turbo kit or when they come down in price it will be a 600 whp evo with a 75 or 100 shot....
What I think is not in the interest of the car is putting a 250 shot tring to get to the 600whp range... at the end it will cost more then the turbo kit if you know what I mean....
Thanks for the input and if anyone has anything else to add please do
