Works Drop In Filter Falling Apart For The Second Time!!

lol get the HKS... save you the worry until you can afford / tune w/ a real intake...

Well, I just spoke to WORKS and they were very nice and offered to give me a credit towards the purchase of something else or a refund. I actually said to just leave the money on account because I'll probably buy something else from them later on down the road. As I said before , they make good products in general, it's just that whoever they outsourced to make their filter did a subpar job on assembly of these things. Gluing metal to rubber is a no no, especially when oily residue is going to be around there from the filter. Either way, the guys at WORKS are good people and stand behind their products, so if anyone has an issue like what I had, they will take care of you.

One small luxury I afford myself is to never re-use or re-oil these high flow filters. The HKS at about $40 is just about cheap enough to toss out once a year.

I went with the blitz sus LM drop in filter, had the K&N I did not like the way it sealed it was also a 2 part filter and adapter cage ,The Blitz is a dry cotton 1 piece just like the oem only it flows much better .

Your words sure sound like you submerged the thing so very understandable that people thought that. Maybe learn to word things better befor jumping down their throats.

i also have the works drop in filter and for cleaning, i spray it with the cleaning solution and let it soak for 15 mins per instruction. so far, no problem. we'll see...
