EVO X MR Battery Issues

Is anyone having trouble with their battery dying with the car sitting for 2 & 1/2 weeks? It keeps dying on me and wont start. I Have some aem gauges that are hooked up to a relay and a viper alarm system. That's all? I don't know what is causing this, are the battery's that week that they die after 2 weeks in the cold?

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? or is it just my sorry ***

Sorry to hear you are having problems. I would disconnect the extra stuff and see if it still happens.

But i can tell you my GSR was sitting for almost a month un-touch and cranked up the first time no problem.

Purchased my GSR couple weeks ago and the second day of owning it the battery was totally dead. It sat at the stealership for 6 days and they couldn't get a replacement. I just bought one myself - the stock battery SUCKS.

The battery is a gel sealed type as it's inside the car, don't just go buy any battery you can find!! It's a warranty issue, I've had mine changed, although it did take 10 weeks to get one

any chance the extra gauges are drawing power when the key is off and eating it up?

I only drive my EVO MR on the weekends so it sits Monday through Friday in the garage and it fires up everytime with no problems. I know its not 2 weeks but whatever. Also, I have a DEFI gauge, still no problems.

nope there connected to a relay that is triggered by the windows. I think the battery is bad but i have no clue how to get a new one from without bringing them the car, because of all the mods.

Isn't there something floating around about the smart key thing not turning the Car off/some common misuse of it?

Look around the threads...I'm almost certain I read something on that

my battery dies too. Especially when running the radio for about half hour. Never had that problem with my previous car.

I had my battery die a few weeks into ownership. Brought it to the dealership and they found it had a dead cell so they gave me one they had in stock. Nice omega red top battery.

Take it back to the dealer. There is a recall on the Panasonic batteries. Well at least in Canada there is.

cold kills batteries, so if you are in a cold climate like NY, seeing as temperatures prolly get almost down to 0 in the winter, the battery just dies from the temperature.
