Exhaust violation?
I just got pulled over by officer last night because of my exhaust. The officer said that my exhaust was too loud and gave me a ticket. Is there anyone here have the same
Issue? How did you guys handle it? If I put back my stock exhaust and go to the court do they dismiss my citation?

find out wat db level is a violation and then go to vendor who sold you exhaust and find out what theirs is, if its below allowable limit, print read out and present in court (i would drive your gf car to court though)

The reality of this is that they can cite you for the exhaust no matter what the DB level. It's up to the officer's discretion. Any LEO on this board will probably tell you the same.
Unfortunately the best way to get this taken care of is go stock...get it signed off...and put the aftermarket back on.

Your first fix it ticket?
Here in Cali... they can pull you over no matter what the DB level is... I just take it off, put stock back on, go to a Highway Patrol Office and let them sign it off after seeing the stockers, then go to court and pay 20$ and ticket gone... these don't effect your record.
OR I pay a much higher price, like 180$~ (2 years ago) and pay it off be done with it. without the hassle of removing then putting it back on.

Got the same problems in Japan too so this is what I use:
The Apexi Exhaust Control Valve, lets you control your exhaust sound by opening or closing the butterfly that goes in between your exhaust flanges. The control lever can be mounted anywhere in the cockpit. I'm sure you can find vendors that sell it here or in your area.

They don't give a rats *** about the Harleys running around sounding like a helicopter... Bikes can be "loud" to protect themselves... true... but they are over doing it.
