New Evo X every 15,000 miles ??
I can't decide I get a new Evo every 15,000 miles or every 6 months through employee benefit at In the beginning I was planning to buy my MR after the employee lease so I could mod but again I have an option to have a brand new one every 15,000 miles (no mod).
If you have this option, what would you do?

Don't get an MR ... get a GSR ...
buy the basic bolt ons ... springs/coilovers, intake, IC piping, FMIC, TBE, etc
get yourself a COBB AP ...
every 15k ... swap your parts back to stock, pick up your new X, slap your parts back on, plug and play your COBB AP ... bam you're set

If you go with the gsr you will need to consider the clutch, esp if you are going to mod the car. Stocker isn't up to the task of added power so once you have to replace the clutch.... I doubt you would want to do the clutch every 6 months. Just something to think about.

Gee while you're working there, you can drive every edition starting from X, do remember though, they are going to discontinue the evo indefinately, so you may get stuck with driving an Eclipse or something.

Thanks for the information. I had no idea that Mitsubishi would halt production of its most relevant vehicle and use the FWD Eclipse as its halo car. I also heard Subaru is going to discontinue the STI and maybe even the WRX.

Sources? I would think that both Mitsubishi and Subaru would be waiting in the wings to produce even better turbo all-wheel drives since the future for american performance cars looks grim. At most I can see Subaru discontinuing the STI, but not the WRX.
