It was probably a shell bid by the person who was selling the car. Don't worry about it.

Troll? You are an idiot and you're trolling.

Got something to say them PM me and don't start this in a thread you moron.

I post legit information with actual numbers and I'm trolling and I don't know what I'm talking about?

Just because you are upset and can't come to the fact that your car isn't worth as much as you would like it to be does not give you the right to call me a troll.

I've only posted useful information here. No one is trolling. I'm in the market for an X. So unlike you, I do my research on the current prices and market of these cars.

You are a douche for not knowing anything.

I was following that auction.... I personally don't consider that a good deal. Considering free money for 60 months on a new X; you paid roughly 37K for a used X. Maybe what you consider a great deal is different frome mine, but IMHO you overpaid by roughly 5K

you have a good point, but instead of financing close to 40k, i will only have to finance about 29k, ill pay the rest in cash. was saving to mod my subie even further....

I am guessing your interest rate on that 29K is roughly 6%.... so figure over a 60 month loan you will be paying over 4K in interest alone that you wouldn't have to on a new car purchase -> that is over 4K right in your pocket. So, figure I am seeing loaded new MRs at dealers for about 40K, meaning you could just buy it at asking price (you most likely could do better with a little negotiation), throw down your 4K just like you did on your used one, and have a note on the car for 36K (we are assuming TTL are approximately the same on both cars... or atleast within $1000).

With these assumptions -
new car with 36K note @ 0% for 60 months = $600/month
= 4K down + 60 payments @ $600 = $40K

used car with 29K note @ 6% for 60 months = $560/month
= 4K down + 60 payments @ $560 = $37.6K

So for a mere 2400 bucks more, you could have had new car. It would take at least $7K for me to consider buying used... probably more like a $10K savings on a car like the evo
