I assume that they haven't made any actual changes to the engine, just that they're re-rating it at the current levels after the two factory flashes leaned it out and bumped the power. It looks to me like the only real difference is the interior console and the black tail lights. The GSR over there has some of the MR features as options, but I wouldn't be surprised to the MMNA stick to the streamlined models that we have now.

also when is this 2010 x supposed to arrive here?
I agree 100%, I could care less about a factory evo with more power. Now trans or suspension upgrades are a different story

I never believed that they weren't going to send 2009's here because the EVO has been such a huge success in the U.S it would not make sense financially for Mitsubishi to do so. A possibility would be that dealers would order less 09's and be more flexible on the prices for the 08's. Also they may talk the people who want to buy 09's into buying the 08's. As usual with most things it all comes down to marketing.

he must be a genius to predict the stopped production of the 2009 evo which on the link by motortrend, the mitsubishi insider denies it(rumour unfounded). if there isn't going to be a 2009 evo, their "halo" car, then this forecast by global mitsu shows a worse picture. there might not even be a 2010 evo?

^ I don't think he's a genious, but their dealership sells the highest volume of Evo's in the country (I think...not to be quoted). I bought my car there and tend to believe what they say/predict. Quite the thread though bro

Yeah, they did because when I orginally posted the link from motortrend, it said that the rumors were denied about them not producing 09's for the U.S.(hinting that we would in the near future recieve some 09's with minimal changes) but now they did change the text of the blog...

Oh and for the picture, look at the first comment made, its by me They orginally had a White Lancer Ralliart in the picture so I brought it up to their attention about it not being an evolution
