No 2009 Evo X for the USA. Confirmed by multiple sources within Mitsubishi.

might as well move on to next forum then
I don't care for deals - I just want to see all the teething problems FIXED and a bulletproof car.
No gas in the engine oil (at least not enough to smell gas, as reported)
No Recaros that tear up (better Recaro leather seats are welcome)
No shakes rattles etc in the interior (use more foam under rattle prone areas)
Better gas mileage (better factory ECU tune)
No hesitations at any rpm (better factory ECU tune)
Better warranty (at least 4 years, 50k miles)
When Mitsu has all these sorted out (2-3 years?) I can consider it.

This is the interior changes that the 2010 EVO X's will have. It's been available in certain markets in 2009 already. Pretty minor but it does look better.

From what I heard (from the many links on this thread), Mistsubishi is skipping the 2009 model due to overstock(or something along the line).
If that is the case, I highly doubt there will be a 2010 model, well, not until the 2008 models are cleared anyway.
So I urge everyone that wanted to get an evo X to do so now! So when the stock runs dry, the rest of us can get the updated 2010 models
I am kidding. 
Hope (& I do think so) it wouldn't affect the rest of the world (sorry US folks).

That sucks, it's like how they didn't offer one in 2007. I've owned 3 but now I have two. I Love EVO's I think I'll wait until 2011 to trade in the 08 for a new EVO.

Yup!!...looks like there skipping the '09's!! Oh well ...I'm Glad I got my in Jan. 09 with 0 APR and a great deal...that allows me to be open to the 2010 or 2011...to trade it in or not since I didn't get f'd on an evo deal like most people did back in feb.- Sept. in '08....LoL
