So did anyone else notice that in the 08 VIN codes the W5 & W8 = Lancer Evolution X
But when you look at the 09 codes its just the Lancer Evolution?

Just a random observation but why would they drop the X if they weren't going to change something?

smash from SCM is one of the people that said no 09s for the us. again its a salesman not a mitsu rep. sounds like someone wants to move out the 08s to make room for 09s this summer.

wasnt the 08 a late release model.

I'm excited because I'm in the market for a new car this spring. All cars aren't selling well right now. It's not that the popularity of the EVO is dying it's that people aren't buying new vehicles at the moment especially specialty ones like the EVO X or STI. The recession won't last forever.

Who cares if they are coming or not. The 09 models will be exactly the same as the 08's, and there are still tons of 08's available on dealership lots.

I do. There are some changes mostly minor but IMO having audio controls on the steering wheel on the GSR for me is pretty big. The black Ralliart taillights look better and the new console makes the interior look better.
