The Evo is not a free market car, it is a purposely build car.
The one of the best proof of this:

That's right, but I'm just trying to explain that it can easily change. I know you're not saying this, but most people I hear/talk to say "It can never change!!! Rally is 2 liter!!! Blasphemy!!!", and I'm just saying that doesn't hold water. Solberg was killing in the WRC while Scoobie showrooms were filled with 2.5 liter cars.
I know that you're just saying that's why the engines have traditionally been 2 liters.

Besides that was a real scam, they run the STI in 2 liter , and they was selling the different engined car as a "same" rally car....
What you saying is soo insulting for those who runs and love rally.
Why you guys dont play the baseball with basketball? bigger is better no?

I don't care what subaru does, and I don't really care what mitsubishi does either. All I'm trying to say is, there is no reason why they wouldn't do it. They are not bound by any rules, they are clearly not bound by tradition. There's a 2.5l "rally" car, there's a v8 M3, there's a 6 cyl. Eclipse. I'm not suggesting that they create a new engine. I'm just saying it's not unprecedented.

Look, I gotta go make breakfast for my wife and her friend. I'm as big a WRC fan as anyone. I contemplated murder when SPEED took it off the network. I love Evos, I love all cars that can kick *** on the street and the mountains. I'm not arguing against anyone here. All I'm saying is that companies will do ANYTHING for money, and if it made some kind of financial to sense to them, which it probably doesn't, then they would do it. Lucas made Episode 1, Coke changed its recipe, McDonalds added salads, there's nothing sacred anymore.

nobody cares WRC any more, finally.
They basically almost destroyed the rally scene.
But the Rally fans and the scene is too strong around the WORLD, so here is the new one , besides the individual country's rally championships...

and check out the Manufacturers list already...

This could be really interesting to see Honda, Mitsu, VW, and Peugeot competing. Hopefully Subaru will join too. I doubt we'll ever get to watch a race on US TV, but it would be cool to see Mitsu and Subaru factory cars competing in an FIA-regulated event again.

They could make the V6 but keep in mind they would have to provide a 2.0 liter engine as well if Mitsubishi wants to compite in Rallies.
Look around, ther are many car manufacturers that has cars with 2.0 liter turbos and alternate V6s like Saab, Audi, VW, etc.

i got off topic fromt the OP first post. the more i think about it, the more wouldn't want mitsu to have a v6 evo. i was comparing crazy swaps to make it sound like a good idea. A factory v6 wouldn't even compare. well unless it was a TT v6 that rivaled the GT-R35 with around 500 awhp at a comparable price. And yes i know you can make that kind of power with our cars, but it would be pretty sweet!!
