I am just wanting to see whats going on with the market with the EVO X. Only about 40% of me wants to get rid of it. But I wanted to go ahead and know what I would be getting into if I did decide to do something.

I was on carmax's website and all their viiis and ixs areabove 18g some with high mileage on them, i know your talking about an X but when I went in to get a price quote on my 04 with 50k they quoted me at 13g.... talk about bull****.

If Carmax told you that you would only get auction wholesale price that would me you had modded your car. Its bull**** I know, but thats how it is there, odds are they told you that so they can make you feel better about the ****ty offer they gave you and try to make you feel like they would be doing you a favor. Carmax policy is, they will not sell a car with mods. depeding on how many or what you had done. If it was just like an exhaust or something comparable what they would do since Evos have a good resale is tell you that its gunna go to auction because of the mods and in reality what they will do is find some local mechanic to fit it with stock equivelent parts and say its always been stock, making a perfect excuse to charge $24k for a car that they only gave you maybe $13 for. So when they say thats how much they would get at auction there not lying just not being completly truthful that it will actually go there. Thats there hussle I guess.
Carmax should only be used in emergency situations, in the end its cheaper to keep er.

Keep it.
The incentives on these cars new from the dealer are insanely great. They just had 0%, which hurts used resale very badly. Selling one private party will be next to impossible because of that, and they'll shaft you on trade.
The economy will get better. No matter what you are driving right now, it is not the time to be selling or trading a car at all. The great deals buying right now cannot be offset with a terrible trade in.

^ I have owned a EVO since 2003 this is my third one. I have been slowly remodeling my house and having my own truck would make things easier. However when ever I need one I use my fathers. So I will keep the EVO X.
By the way if I were to get a truck I would most certainly buy a 2003 EVO 8 project car this summer.
