If you read carefully it states the clutch type as "twin clutch" therefore its the SST, they must have upgraded the clutch packs which is just as exciting as a dedicated 6spd manual for this car

It is possible that it is a twin disc clutch like exedy makes. In that case it could still be possible for it to be a 6 speed manual.

The whole article is about their evo x time attack car. I'd have to say its definitely clutch packs for the sst and maybe some gear box modifications as well.

i think that's the GSR one & the twin clutch i think is more like exedy or act or else, single,twin or triple plate clutch upgrade for example. so i think its the manual version, not the SST. just my opinion.. .Nice finding though! cant wait for the update from HKS!

why doesn't someone just produce an overdrive gear to add to the 5 speed like people have been doing for other makes for a long time?

It looks to be for the GSR.

Here is a list of the HKS LA Clutch Twin models for the EVO IV through the X! These are all Twin Disc type clutches!!!!

Would a 6th gear improve gas mileage much at 80 mph and dropping rpms to about 3000 rpm (6th gear) instead of 4000 rpm in 5th ????
