MR chrome

Starting to consider the MR but the chrome.... I can't stand it. Is it easily removable for painting or just plain removable? Freaking chrome...

I think the chrome on the grille is nice, it gives full circle enclosure to the grille. Anyway, I think you can't spray paint it, as the paint will ear off (as in all chromed parts).

Try exchange it with someone that with the black frame. I think it is a direct swap.

I don't mind the chrome trim on the MR because the grill is graphite colored. It doesn't look as good on Ralliarts with the black grill.

it can be painted as long as you sand it first, and use a good adheasion promoter.

It's the chrome around the windows that bugs me the most. Looks like a freaking JC Whitney special.

Sorry don't have anything more constructive to add OP. I don't like the painted vents on the MR either. I do like the dash trim better though.

Todd: what about a trade?I was inquiring about getting it for my GSR. How much of a hurry are you? Spring wil be here soon. I live in Alb,NY.
I haven't looked in on how much labor to change out,so might be easier to just paint yours,I'm sure the bumber cover needs to come off.

I'm looking at eventually getting this CF replacement from Chargespeed... you may want to consider this & check out the vendors here. it should be around $370 according to a non-vendor site I found it on. So, yes the chrome trim is removable, I believe you'll have to remove the entire front bumper to do so.
