so whats the periodic inspection warning for? i thought it was for when you need an oil change..what triggers this?

 

^^^^^Nothing triggers it, it is set by the dealer to just remind you to change the oil.

 

Here's the last oil analysis I did before trading in the car on my X. The next-to-last sample I did was 6500 miles, and showed elevation in a couple areas over the 6k changes.

 

is this on mobil 1 ep or some other oil? hardly any fuel contamination

 

maybe Im weird I like to chage it after 1k with more break in oil then change it at 2k again with more break in then at 3 with normal full synth. then keep a 3-4k interval from there. I usealy use mobile1 (is it the best?) I dont know but it works fine for me.

 

on my wife's car, after 1K - replaced the OIL w/ Castrol German Syntec 0W30, along with a Bosch filter.

Same OIL i'm using on my EVO IX - great o il, i'll post my blackstone labs results sometime next week.

 

This is on the standard Mobil 1 5/30. Again this was on my VIII MR making 370 awhp. It was a very nice wearing engine...
